How to win a young boy’s heart? Give him shades of blue and a super comfy chaise where he could curl up with a book or launch toys on a thrill ride from the top to the bottom.
Are those geometric supports on the student desk multiliaction symbols or X’s? Either way, they’re pretty cool.
Jazzy angles and bold contrast! There’s nothing ho-hum about this geometric Roman shade and the coordinating blue ceiling, which is playful when younger, sophisticated and edgy when older.
My clients’ passion for the geometrics inspired my choice of this glass mosaic tile for their young son’s bathroom. This space will take him from 44 years old to “all grown up.”
The shower floor tile draws on the shades of blue from the mosaic accent wall, but in a completely different pattern.
Every detail matters! The tile in the shower niche is the same as the accent wall in the boy’s bathroom, connecting two areas.
Designing an upscale-casual home from the ground up.
These family-oriented clients want each member of their household to feel fabulous at home, including their two young children, of course! My goal was to inject each child’s bedroom with personality, character and color, and to make them timeless.
I thought it was so cute that the young son wanted everything that his older sister had in her bedroom. So, I chose exactly the same furnishings, but in finishes and colors that are so different the rooms look like night and day. No jealousy, just good design!
How to win a youngg girl’s heart? Surround her with her favourite color-purple in a yummy variety of shades, creating a vibrant hide-away for alone time or sleep-overs with best friends. As she grows up she will appreciate the off-beat shape of the side table, the lush headboard and custom pillows more and more.
When I was a little girl, I would have loved this mauve cloud wallpapper. It’s so happy and tranquil.
Painting the ceiling purple accents that “fifth wall” and makes this young girl’s bedroom feel cozy and complte.
Updating the daughter’s accessories will be a snap as she grows older and replaces dolls with photos of her favorite pop stars and her books.
Diamond-like drawer pulls bring a little bling into this young girl’s study desk.
This young lady has the same chaise lounge as her brother, but in her favourite color. It’s an inviting spot to relax with some music, a book or a video.
These huggable pillows are too pretty for pillow fights, but oh-so pretty and comfy for relaxing.
This ombre tile wall almost looks like a cascade of water, so on-target for a bathroom!
