An award-winning home perfect for a bachelor.
This bachelor client commissioned us to completely renovate his kitchen and eating area plus master bath in a clean, transitional style that has more sharp angles and edges than curves.
To encourage this busy physician to cook more for a healthier diet, we created a kitchen and eating area that is functional, attractive and equipped with the best in appliances and organizational solutions. For the master bath transformation, safety was as important as aesthetics and performance.
As a 60-year-old looking to the future, he wanted me to minimize slip-and-falls and make the shower easily accessible. The gray, cream and taupe color palette and updated-transitional styling provides the gender-neutral, modern feeling this homeowner craves.
The project was initially limited to the master bathroom redesign. In a very short period of time, the project grew to include changes to the floor plan, remodeling of two and half bathrooms, design of a new kitchen, design of a bar, design of the entertainment unit, design of the grand master staircase, full house hardwood floors, and the buildout of an unfinished basement.

To make the master bath symmetrical on either side of the window, I stole 10 inches from the study so that when I redesigned the space, the vanities on the left and right were mirror images. -
The rectangular sinks and faucets echo the shape of the freestanding tub and multiply the geometric theme. -
The recessed panel cabinetry and squared off cabinet knobs continue the sharply angular theme of this white bathroom. For balance, I added curvaceous accessories.
Michelle not only was creative in her designs but supervised the constructions and installation of these items. Her extensive experience and outstanding reputation opened showrooms and gave me access to highest quality vendors and materials. She never lowered her standards for the best ‘fit and finish’. I now have an award-winning home.
